As the pandemic subsided, I felt the changing times influencing my creations. This collection gathers works born from a moment of transition, where personal renewal and global upheaval shaped a more intimate, symbolic language. Each piece reflects how shifting times opened space for honoring family, community, and ancestral memory—whether through the recurring silhouette of a woman representing loved ones, the mapping of seasons across Latin America, or the elemental forces that sustain communal life. Together, these works form a quiet chronicle of change, showing how transformation—personal or collective—can deepen our sense of connection and purpose.
In 2023, I started adding a woman's silhouette as a motif in my paintings to honor my wife and daughter. The flowers in each quadrant of this piece remind me of different places in Latin America...
This piece was created in 4 canvas panels joined together. Each quadrant represents a different season, with flowers from specific places in Latin America. Where the four quadrants join, there is a dove of peace emerging.

I worked for many years as a humanitarian worker internationally, and I always found there were five critical elements that enabled a community to thrive. At the center is the community itself; clothing (or textiles), water, housing, and food are the other four critical elements.
This piece was created using four repurposed stretched-canvas panels, joined together.
